Prologis expands its portfolio with an off-market transaction in the south of the Netherlands through the acquisition of Prologis Park Veghel DC2. The warehouse was acquired from the well-known general construction company Bouwbedrijf van de Ven B.V. in Veghel, who built the property and since then held it as an investment. The newly acquired warehouse is strategically located on Industrial Park De Amert along the A50 motorway between Eindhoven, Den Bosch and Nijmegen and is close to important waterways. Veghel DC2 is immediately adjacent to the existing Prologis Park Veghel DC1 property and is currently fully leased.
Refurbished design to align with sustainability goals
To help advance the customers’ sustainability goals and to make the property align with Prologis’ ESG goals to reach net-zero emissions across its operations by 2030 and across its value chain in 2040, the property will be fully refurbished. Prologis will minimize construction impacts, manage the buildings more efficiently, and provide services such as renewable energy, EV charging, LED-lighting and workforce development.
Jack Geurtjens VP, Capital Deployment at Prologis: “Prologis Park Veghel DC2 is a valuable addition to our portfolio in the south of the Netherlands considering its highly sought after strategic location and underscores our ability to continue offering new logistics solutions in core locations across Europe. Veghel DC2 is a perfect example of how we optimally serve our customers’ needs to accelerate their sustainability goals”.
