On Tuesday 21st of May the start of a new project of Prologis was celebrated in Nieuwegein, one of the logistics hotspots in the Netherlands. It symbolizes the official start of the construction of a new warehouse of 34.000 square meters for Dutch retailer HEMA, at business park Het Klooster, conveniently situated on the A27. Prologis has purchased a 5.7-hectare lot from the municipality of Nieuwegein. The bar has been set high. Literally. The warehouse will stand at 12.2 meters, and will be developed with LED lighting and solar panels. The premises will also comply with the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard for sustainability performance.
