Prologis has published its 2023 ESG Report, outlining the progress towards the main goal of reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions in 2040. The 2023 report includes updates on sustainable logistics, the #prologispeople, and resilient community building. This is the 18th ESG report Prologis has published since 2006.
Global highlights from the 2023 ESG Report include:
- Our commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. For detail on how we are working to reduce emissions, see page 10 of the ESG report.
- The Prologis Park Eindhoven DC4 warehouse was the first logistics building in the world to receive a Zero Carbon Certification from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI).
- Approximately 23% of our portfolio has received a sustainable building certification. This is an area equal to more than 25 square kilometers!
- We achieved a strong employee engagement survey score of 88% in 2023. This compares favorably to the average score of 80% for our sector.
- We’ve been a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for five years in a row for ESG performance among the top 10% of companies in the world.
- We achieved more than 500 megawatts (MW) of installed solar and energy storage capacity. –
- Prologis employees gave more than 16,400 hours of their time to community organizations.
