Prologis has leased 20,000 square meters of logistics space at Prologis Park Schiphol to FedEx. The facility, located at Schiphol Airport with direct access to key transport routes, strengthens FedEx’s operations at one of Europe’s most important logistics hubs. With air cargo demand expected to grow in 2025, the lease reinforces Schiphol’s position as a vital hub for time-sensitive logistics in Europe.

Energy-Efficient and Strategically Connected Logistics Infrastructure
Originally built in 1999, the facility has been upgraded to meet modern energy efficiency standards. The warehouse features all-electric office operations and has been upgraded by Prologis to meet FedEx’s specific operational needs. Key enhancements include:

  • Installation of LED lighting to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • A fully refurbished office space with customized room layouts, including new partition walls.
  • Upgraded sanitary facilities and additional structural enhancements to improve operational workflows.

With its prime location and connectivity, the facility enables FedEx to optimize its time-critical operations while aligning with its sustainability and efficiency goals.

Gina Helmold, VP, Head of Capital Deployment and Leasing Benelux at Prologis says: "At Prologis, we provide strategically located, energy-efficient facilities that support our customers’ evolving needs. Schiphol remains a key logistics hub, and this location strengthens FedEx’s operations while reinforcing our commitment to future-ready logistics spaces.”

A Long-Term Commitment to Schiphol’s Logistics Growth

Prologis has been active in the Netherlands and the Schiphol region since 1997, recognizing its pivotal role in European supply chains. Today, Prologis operates 18 properties in the area totaling almost 250,000 square meters, with one additional built-to-suit building under development with 22,800 square meters.

As Prologis predicts increasing air cargo demand in 2025— driven by both growing e-commerce market penetration and continued disruptions to cross border supply chains—the strategic importance of well-connected logistics facilities near key transport hubs like Schiphol becomes even more evident.

Prologis’ long-term investment in Schiphol underscores its commitment to providing future-ready logistics solutions that evolve with market demands.
